I have learned about DAFs and now know that I have been booking them incorrectly. I want to thank the folks advising the fund, but credit the 501©3 for the grant.
Hi Lisa, good question. I had the same question when I was doing grant work with corporations. We had higher end donors who always like to give through their companies, but in reality, it wasn’t the company, but the owner directing the funds.
Theatre Manager has a feature called Soft Credits to help track who did what in situations like these. There’s a help page link below that goes into greater detail.
