  1. Turning Off Address Verification System (AVS)

During Credit Card processing, Theatre Manager sends the patrons primary address information as a part of an authorization request. The Bank has the option of using this for an additional level of fraud detection/prevention. Address Verification (AVS) may cause some online card rejection if:

  • the patron uses a card with a different billing address than what they have put into their online account in TM -AND-
  • your online merchant account settings have been set to very strict

  1. Seat View for Online Sales
    Did you know that a link can be added offering the patron an opportunity to see the view from their selected seats prior to adding tickets to their cart when purchasing a ticket online?

Once the setup is in place, the seat view button will become available. Clicking the button will open a new tab in the browser displaying the seat view image.

This is a cool feature to add to your online sales and the steps on how to implement this are on our help pages.

  1. Pass/Gift Certificates to Limited Events

As of the latest Theatre Manager release, each individual Pass/Gift Certificate can now be limited to apply to a certain events when it is sold. This enhancement allows you to do a couple of things:

  • have a Pass/Gift Certificate Type that is totally limited to certain events
  • add further restrictions to each issued pass - which may be useful for scholarships or passes provided to actors or to fundraisers, without having to have different pass types for each fundraiser.
