1. Buy A Seat Campaign

If your organization is planning a seat naming campaign to fund new seats in your theatre, this capital campaign can be managed in Theatre Manager. Here’s the recommended setup in Theatre Manager to manage a Buy A Seat campaign online and through the box office that allows you to keep track of the actual theatre seat the patron is sponsoring.

2. Why Gift Certificates Only Need to be Given to the Purchaser (Not the Recipient)

Every once in a while, there is a misconception that a gift certificate must be moved from the patron account who purchased it to the recipient’s patron record in order for the gift certificate to be valid.

Well, we are happy to dispel this idea. Just like any gift card, purchased at a favourite retail store, the purchaser can later give the card to a friend/family as a gift. The retail store does not know who ends up using the card. Gift Certificates in Theatre Manager function the same way by setting the gift certificates to be Redeemable by Any Patron (Not Visible To Purchaser).

3. Queued Reports for Month End Reporting

Theatre Manager’s Background Reporting is a great tool to queue and run your month-end reports right at 11:59:59 PM on the last day of the month. Your required reports can be queued up days or weeks in advance. It’s nice to login to the database anytime after the month-end knowing your required reports have run and are ready for review.
