- Randomizing Mail Lists
Sometimes we come across situations where we don’t want everybody in a particular mail list - only a random selection. This could be used for things like:
- Creating a number of random lists for a lottery based on sale system. The resulting mail lists can be used for different coupon/pre-access codes as a means of distributing alternating purchase times to patrons buying online
- Generating a random subset of people in a mail list for marketing purposes such as surveys or invitations to special events
- Taking a general mail list that is slightly bigger than a mail out budget and deciding (randomly) who should be mailed
- Breaking up a list of patrons into random groupings to distribute the e-blast across a multitude of senders
- Separating a list of patrons into generally equal subsets for true A-B market testing approach.
A few thoughts about these lists.
- You can create random lists and add people manually or by adding criteria to them if you wish
- You can take people off a random mail list - as you would any other list
- You can e-blast or merge data to print letters for these lists
- You can run reports to see revenue or activity for patrons on a random list
- You can add the list to pre-access codes to and change when they are available to allow staggered onsales
- and much more
Please make sure to remove the lists when you no longer need them.

- Ticket Stock Warning
Do you find yourself running low on ticket stock and then scrambling to order new stock in before it runs out? Did you know that you can keep track of your ticket stock levels in Theatre Manager?
Here is a quick rundown on how to do this:
Open your Company Preferences and click on the Ticket Faces tab.
In the Ticket Stock Management section of the tab, enter the approximate number of tickets left. In the Reorder level box, enter the number of tickets at which you want to be reminded to order more stock. The reorder level should be sufficient for at least 4 weeks worth of tickets. Click Save.
An easy way to relieve a potential stress-inducing moment in your day!
