1. How to Graphically Indicate Wheelchair Seating

Wheelchair seating can be indicated in a more obvious fashion by adding a UTF8 character code to seat notes. This example shows how it looks in Theatre Manager:

The unicode wheelchair character can be copied from this webpage and pasted into Theatre Manager.

2. Selling Passes/Gift Certificates to a Number of Patrons

You may occasionally want to give passes to certain groups of volunteers, staff, actors, subsets of donors, or subscribers. Examples of this might be to give people working on an event free passes, or to give staff passes for a predetermined number of shows during the year. Once they have the passes or gift certificates, they can obtain their tickets online and/or merge their own tickets without the need to contact the box office.

Those passes can be added to the patron record one at a time, or you can add them EN MASSE to selected people in a mail list.

Please note: This process can sell a lot of passes or gift certificates quickly, but it does not provide a process to pay for any that generate a balance owing by the customer. If passes are sold that require payment, you may find it easier to pay for them on the Patron Tab in the pass setup window.

3. Holding Seats for General Admission Events

It’s easy to hold seats for General Admission Events in Theatre Manager.

  • Open the General Admission event
  • Performance Tab - double click on performance date to open the Performance Detail Window
  • Go to the Accounting Tab - Statistics
  • Edit the number in the Held Seat Count field.
    • Here you can increase the number to HOLD and decrease the number to RELEASE
